About Me

I live in Wales, UK, and my main interests are history and the arts (tough my first degree was in French and Latin). My first book, Who's Who in Welsh History, was published by Christopher Davies in 1997 (and is still in print, if you're interested!) One of my novels, A Broad Church, is available in the USA as a print-on-demand paperback. My second non-fiction book, Princesses of Wales, was published by the University of Wales Press in 2005, and a companion volume, Princes of Wales, is came out in December 2006.  Meanwhile, Princesses of Wales has been translated into Japanese and will be released by Sogen-sha later in 2007.

My book review web site is now reached by the same portal as the Siegfried Sassoon Fellowship website: [1] (http://sassoonfellowship.org) (I'll do almost anything to get more hits.) #

I've been very fortunate in my life.  I've had two changes of career, both of which I consider to have been for the better.  I'm married with two lovely children.  I live in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, but I've also had the opportunity to travel, and have visited most European countries, as well as China, Russia, South Africa, the Middle East, USA and Canada.  Australia, New Zealand and a few other places are still on my "to do" list.  I'm particularly interested in islands.  Among those I've visited are the Aran Islands, Crete, Cyprus, Lanzarote, Madeira, Malta and Gozo, the Orkneys, Rhodes, Scilly, the Shetlands, Sicily, Spinalonga, Symi, and the Western Isles.  And does Mont St Michel count? Later this year I will be adding the Isle of Man to the list.
